Finally back to update my lifeless blog!
Last week was a great week as i took time off to head to Taipei for a week long holiday. It was a place i really wanted to visit and it was quite good as I came to realised how friendly and helpful Taiwanese are.
Hotel that was initially hard to find but nevertheless still quite a comfortable experience in the end!
One of the things that i was totally excited about was their 7-11. The difference in standards between their 7-11 and our 7-11 was appalling. Just look at the range of varieties of ice creams and beverages!! Just by looking at this, i feel like going back again!
We had one of our breakfasts at this place!! In my opinion, they definitely have better youtiaos and soya bean than Singapore but of course how heavenly can they really be?? It still taste good nevertheless!
Salty tau hway! tau hway inside got sliced youtiao, bacon, dried shrimps and many more! It tastes like some weird soup instead
after that is go to a nearby shop to scratch some money and ended up winning 500NT!
Went to Taipei 101 to see see look look and its nothing much except for really see see look look from the 89th or 91st floor. Each person have to pay 400NT to go up and see see look look and take some pictures. What a great gimmick to earn some really cool cash. But anyway, it was quite an experience up there
After drinking their bubble tea there, i can be quite sure i won't be spending a single cent more on KOI or Gong Cha or whatever you call it. It's only $1.50 there and there is not even a crazy queue over it!
Also went to Sun Yat Sen memorial hall to don't know see what, SYS uncle black black one
Going to ShiFen was an ardous task and we spent a long time walking to the waterfalls and it was nothing fascinating.
Went to this restoran which was run by a lady only. She does the cooking, the cleaning, the ordering and taking care of her son! She was near amazing as she does whip up some great tasting home cooked food!
looks great isint it?!
Then.... We needed to embark on a long long walk to the waterfall, upon reaching there, you will realise it was nothing fascinating and you actually have to pay to enter to a natural attraction site to see it.
yeah, so fuck it
The best was this! It brought me alot of luck and money ever since i came back. Powerful lantern!
Going to Taiwan, of course must visit the
night markets!
Fruits snow ice was good!
Love the red beans deep deep
Tahu Busok
My favourite! Coffin board was the most heavenly thing i ate at Shilin
The best cheese potato! This is a must try!
damn best water fried bun!
Ximending
famous ah zhong mian xian but i am not a fan of it
The Din Tai Fung there was also superb! Excellent food and service
and that's about that....... This will almost really sum up everything and remind me once again that i am back in Singapore and i have to face reality soon. Taiwanese have left an everlasting impression on me and i know 1 day or very soon, i will be back to the country because i really love the people there.
Overall, its been a 80% satisfying trip and in anyway it was just a perfect getaway from Singapore. Unfortunately, good times don't last and here i am, with just 17 days left before i hand my life over to the nation.
